"First We Try, Then We Trust"

I have had two people write me today asking questions about the work place. The contents of both messages stated the same thing. Both people are having issues in their personal life, they want help, they want to talk to co workers and their bosses but they are afraid of what people will think of them....

This world has taught us that weakness is a bad thing. And I have news for you, it's not! Being week around another person show's trust, something that many people these days don't value. I have always been a firm believer in, "first we trust then we try", meaning open your hearts, expose your weaknesse's and trust someone! If it back fires, owe well, atleast you tried. honestly though you will find in most cases people will suprise you with a "i'm here to help reaction", instead of the ever so common response we intend to get, "I have my own problems, leave me alone!"

Do not be afraid of your feelings, or to share them. You are who you are and you should be proud of that! Not talking about issues that need to be discussed is only going to make them worse in the end! Trust me I know! Move forward, never stay in the same place, and never move into the past, well atleast not to permenatly stay there!
Good Luck!

  1. Dan,
This is a good analogy of trust, trust is foundational to faith given that within faith no hard conclusive evidence is necessary but only the trust in what cannot be sensed with our 5 senses. With the “at least I tried” proposition is that it is only useful if it is proportional in sought wisdom. Discernment is key to the purpose of trust. Any perceived weakness showing a lack of intrapersonal trust implies an overwhelming deficiency of knowledge of control over thoughts, feelings and actions. Mistrust construes reaction to biased thought and defensive feelings. Forgiveness and trust coexist in that both are void of resentment, retaliation, remorse and any response reaction regarding hate. Trust being a learned behavioral trait is based upon zero transgression; if a great transgression arises then forgiveness must be paramount in rebuilding tolerance thus trust is able to be rebuilt. As with the human conception of Love it has varied levels all which a foundational on tolerance. When trust lacks tolerance then mistrust becomes intolerable.
    Keep up the seeking.
