A dear friend wrote me last night. We haven't talked in a while, so the last few emails have consisted on us mainly catching up on life. Last night one of the email's from him consisted of many random questions about me and my life, and how I was doing. After asking several questions he ended the email with some questions that where obviously jokes, like, why is the sky blue? And, why is water wet?
I laughed at that as most would, but took it to the next level as most wouldn't. I realized yesterday was a stressful day for me. I had a lot going on, with work, life, my son, ect... The whole day was full of small stress, hurry there and hurry here. After reading the email and seeing those questions, I laughed, and was free'd from the days troubles.
Sometimes all we need is a small distraction. Not a distraction that leaves our troubles or stresses in the back of our mind never to be delt with again, but a distraction that leaves us in thought, with a smile on our face.
The next time you are having a bad day, and things are getting to you, STOP! Take a deap breath and ask yourself a stupid question... You never know it could change your day!
By the way... Why is the sky blue? And why is water wet??
Here are my answers!
Well Just look at the definition of what "Wet" is- I used websters- wet = "consisting of, containing, covered with, or soaked with liquid" By definition water is wet because it consists of and contains liquid. l if you think about it, water really isn't wet....
This is why the sky is blue!!The blue color of the sky is due to Rayleigh scattering. As light moves through the atmosphere, most of the longer wavelengths pass straight through. Little of the red, orange and yellow light is affected by the air. However, much of the shorter wavelength light is absorbed by the gas molecules. The absorbed blue light is then radiated in different directions. It gets scattered all around the sky. Whichever direction you look, some of this scattered blue light reaches you. Since you see the blue light from everywhere overhead, the sky looks blue. Owe and the guy Rayleigh I am refering to, his name is actually Lord John Rayleigh who was an english physicist. One of the first to study the sky's colors in the 1870's!!!
Have a good day!!

Glad I could help distract the distractions “dear friend”. For some people the “stupid question” is the one never even thought of, like, why does the distraction exist, how did I let it become a distraction and what do I need to do to use it for my advantage? Stress if not faced like any enemy leads to a unconscious fear that leads to tempting one’s resolve further tension and anxiety it is used by demonic forces whether of Satan or human, to be used as a weapon against ourselves, we will believe the lies that are causational to the stress, thus becoming our own worse enemy. God allows stress, tension and anxiety to exist in order that we may seek from God a resolution to the perceived overwhelming situation, therefore instilling the overcoming nature needed to defeat any enemy, even ourselves. A good defense of tolerance allows us to see the stress, tension and anxiety even before it is upon us like a devouring lion. Stress, tension and anxiety like any demonic force once faced head on and rebuked will steadily lessen its attack on you until it is completely vanquished.
