Well, the week is ending and so is my patience... It's been a long week... But a good one at the same time. It's times like these we forget how fragile life is, and how important the small things are, and how much we owe the man upstairs. I find myself battling improper thoughts and losing modivation when I am stressed. And so today I push myself to do something different.
This evening I will be driving to the mountains and staying in a cabin. Now this is not your typical cabin. There is no heat, no electricity, no running water, and no bathrooms. Therefore there will be no phone, no tv, no ipod, and no social interaction. I tell you what there will be though. Roads no one has traveled on. Fresh water you can drink from a stream, endless amounts of beautiful trees and plant life no one has touched or tarnished.
Deer and Elk that walk right by you, and the smell of fresh air. This my friends is God's country! I need to soak this in, and I imagine you do as well. This experience will open my eyes to what lifes really about. Show me that my stress, anxiety, and over working myself, is not worth it. Instead it will show me how we where intended to live.
Take a break from lifes troubles! Find tranquility in nature!
Let it open your eyes, and free your mind, let it speak to you!
See for yourself what God has made for us to enjoy!

The loss of patience is the gaining of arrogance; impatience is caused by an imbalance of tolerance the intolerance leads to a subconscious disloyalty within the intra/interpersonal relationship between you and God. It is in fact not relying upon God to give us the manner of overcoming the stress, tensions, and anxieties that earthly social compromise lives for, in trying to be all things to all others we become less resilient to the “small things” that creep in and attack our very spiritual nature. God does want us to realize that the important “small things” that give us comfort and joy are in fact the crucial huge things we need to be concerned with, a job is temporary, social acquaintances are temporary, bills are temporary… family and living life to its fullest is eternal. Hence, there are no pressing issues in the workplace that need to come home with you, take care of work related issues at work. This is a matter of empathy verses sympathy as a drug and alcohol counselor for parolees, probationers, child protective services, family drug court… I gave 100% at work and never brought the harsh realities of any client’s issues home, if they would not comply with the simple rules then they and they alone were responsible. Jesus told His Apostles that when on their journey to start new churches they were to enter a town and deliver the “saving faith” and if they were turned away from that town they were to leave wiping the dust from their sandals and move on, theirs was not to force them to understand just to do their best.
ReplyDeleteImproper thoughts and loss motivation resulting in impatience is the direct result of “improper” thus, a problem of intolerance leading to aggravating stress, maddening tension, infuriating anxiety is the improper it is S.I.N. (Satan’s Interfering Nature) that is being allowed and welcomed in by us, it is the only way anything that is discovered as improper can exist and taint our Christian character. We are to be Christ-like not Christ clones, improper is the furthest from Christ any one of use can be. Improper is a cornerstone to compromise.
A vacation is nice (earthly) but the destination (heavenly) is the motivation.
Hope this helps lil Bro.
